You sound like a child that didn't get what they wanted for Christmas! Go and buy a Pulsar then.

with your criteria, budget and list of cars already suggested that you dont fancy, im not sure such a car exists tbh but i will keep trying although some are probs too common for you seat ibiza cupra fiat punto gt civic crx del sol 306gti/rallye corsa gsi astra gsi/gte celica gt4 citroen ax gt (or ax with vts engine) daewoo nexia (with a cx20e which is an easy fit as its just a mk2 astra) fiat bravo/brava gt hyundai coupe mazda 323 mg zr
or some more expensive options pulsar glanza

theres a black pulsar that spends a lot of time in kirk michael and doesnt seem to move all that much. leave a note on the windscreen. someone on here might know the owner.

I'm no fan of scoobys but I'd rather one of them than a pulsar. Similar money and dare I say more reliable in the long run. I doubt you'll get either though until you dig a bit deeper.. Seriously, a grand will buy a car, but will it be worth it in the end!!! Why buy problems....
Now with added booooooost!!! 1.7bar peak holding 1.6 ish....

I quite like buying problems myself... then i can fix them and know its been repaired by myself and cross it off the list.. but definately see what your saying, you get what you pay for.
